LAS VEGAS,  NV -- Barbie Caroline Saenz of Merida, Mexico and Kyle Robert Bogler of Greensboro, NC were married in a private 1:30 p.m. double ring ceremony on December 21, 2015 at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, NV. A family celebration will take place in Mexico in June.    Parents of the couple are Olga Osorio Martinez, Monterrey, Mexico; and Bob and Jannette Bogler, Harlan. 

    EARLING -- Larry and Shelli Schaben of Earling will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on March 16. The couple resides at 1829 Road M16, Earling, IA 51530.    The Schabens have three children: Christopher, Urbandale; and Tyler and Kelsey both of Earling. Larry farms and is employed as a fuel truck driver at Farm Service Coop. Shelli is a hairstylist and teacher’s associate at the Shelby County Catholic School. 

    OLATHE, KS -- Julie Zimmerman and Eric Hartwell both of Kansas City, MO exchanged marriage vows on October 3, 2015 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Olathe. Pastor Joel Schultz performed the double ring ceremony.    Parents of the couple are John and Bonnie Zimmerman, Earling, and Dain and Debbie Hartwell, Overland Park, KS.

    KIMBALLTON -- Tom and Kay Schechinger of Harlan announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Kay to Todd Joseph Shults both of Westphalia. Todd is the son of William and Kathy Pickens, Harlan.    The couple will wed on April 2 in a ceremony at the Cottonwood Barn in Kimballton.

    ASHLAND, NE -- Bruce and Julie Goeser of Harlan announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli to Jason Florell both of South Bend, NE. He is the son of Eugene and Barb Florell, Elm Creek, NE.    The couple will exchange marriage vows on April 2 at the Ashland Golf Club.

    HARLAN -- Denny and Nancy Greer of Harlan will mark their 35th wedding anniversary on March 14. Their family includes Ryan and Christina Pearson, Omaha; Dena and Paul Lucci, Denver, CO; Beckie Greer, Scottsdale, AZ; Angie Hansen, Sioux Falls, SD; Christy and Matt Bandy, Urbana, OH; and Jeana and Denny Gross, Harlan.    Denny and Nancy have 15 grandchildren. The Greers are engaged in farming.

    HARLAN -- Jim and Judy Zea of rural Avoca will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house on Saturday, March 19 from 2-4 p.m. in the fellowship hall at the First Baptist Church in Harlan.             Hosting the celebration will be their children. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

    HARLAN -- Dorothy Hall of Persia will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sunday, March 13 beginning with her immediate family attending church with her at the First Assembly of God near Harlan. Following the service, a catered noon meal is planned for her family, church members and additional family and friends.    Hosting the celebration will be her family.

    WESTPHALIA -- Samantha Ohlinger and Robert Kinney both of Omaha will marry on May 14 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia.    Samantha is the daughter of Mary (Blum) Ohlinger, Omaha, and the late Gerald Ohlinger. Robert is the son of Danny and Flocelia Kinney, Omaha. 

    IRWIN -- Larry and Judy Knudson of Irwin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house on Saturday, March 12 from 1-4 p.m. in the Irwin Community Building. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.    The couple’s three children are Brad Knudson, Irwin; Brenda and Dan Hansen, Kimballton; and Brian Knudson, Irwin. The Knudsons have six grandsons.

The 2:30 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Jeff Erlemeier.    Parents of the couple are Doug and Lori Svendsen, Harlan; and John and Lynne White, Harlan.
