    EARLING -- Jerry Bissen of Earling will celebrate his 90th birthday at an open house on Saturday, December 26 at the Earling Parish Hall from noon - 4 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

    WESTPHALIA -- Ashley Marie Weihs and Marc Anthony Villaverde both of Omaha were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia on June 26, 2015. Father Tirso Villaverde Jr., uncle of groom, performed the 2:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.    Parents of the couple are Gary and Diane Weihs, Harlan; and Marcial and Eleanor Villaverde, Mount Prospect, IL.

    HARLAN -- Phil and Pearl Madson of Harlan will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary and Phil’s 92nd birthday on December 27 at the First Baptist Church in Harlan. Friends and relatives are invited to an open house in their honor in the fellowship hall at First Baptist from 9:30-10:25 a.m. and from 11:35 a.m.

    DES MOINES -- Cora Marie Davis and Daniel Ray Jacobs both of Des Moines exchanged marriage vows on August 1, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Des Moines. The 2:30 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Ryan Arnold.    Parents of the couple are Randy and Connie Davis, Harlan; and Dave and Nancy Jacobs, Harlan. 

    AVOCA -- Ken and Julie Harryman of Avoca celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on December 14.    The couple’s children and their spouses are Cassie and Robert Cue, Harlan; Kent and Lauren Harryman, Avoca; and Sammy and Darren Stokes, Walnut. The Harrymans have five grandchildren. 

    PORTSMOUTH -- Jordan Bruck and Cody Webster both of Kimballton were married on August 1, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth. The 3:30 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Deacon Dan Gehler.    Parents of the bride are Bruce and Karen Bruck, Portsmouth. Parents of the groom are Brian and Tamara Webster, Omaha; and Paula and Timothy Otis, Anderson, IN. 

    HARLAN -- Renee Ferguson and Gary Murray both of Harlan will exchange marriage vows on January 9, 2016 in a private ceremony.    Parents of the couple are Becky Herning, Harlan; and the late Jack and Inge Murray, who were Harlan residents. 

    WESTPHALIA -- Jillian Rueschenberg and Adam Hinners both of Overland Park, KS exchanged marriage vows on August 15, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia. The 2:30 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Father David Smith.    Parents of the couple are Frank and Tami Rueschenberg, Westphalia; and James and Marci Hinners, Ankeny.

Pastor Heather Ploen of the Shelby Lutheran Church performed the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony.    The bride is the daughter of Kristen Heilig, Shelby; and Charles Myers, also of Shelby. The groom is the son of Greg and Raymona Crozier, Persia.

PANORA -- Shannon Nicole Neff and Jeremy Daniel Muell both of Casey exchanged marriage vows on October 10, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Panora. Father Mike Peters performed the 3 p.m. double ring ceremony.    Parents of the bride are Debora Linquist, Waukee; and Scott Neff, West Des Moines. Parents of the groom are Deb and Dan Muell, Portsmouth.
